This manual provides instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your music system.

Setup

1. Unpacking and Placement

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Place the system on a stable, flat surface. For optimal sound performance, ensure the system is not obstructed and has adequate ventilation.

2. Power Connection

Connect the power cord to the AC power inlet on the back of the system, then plug it into a wall outlet.

3. Antenna Connection (AM/FM)

For FM reception, extend the built-in FM antenna. For AM reception, connect the supplied AM loop antenna to the AM antenna jack on the back of the system.

4. Auxiliary Input Connection

To connect an external audio device (e.g., smartphone, laptop, MP3 player), use a 3.5mm audio cable (not supplied) to connect the device's headphone or line-out jack to the AUX IN jack on the back of the Acoustic Wave Music System II.

Operating the System

1. Power On/Off

Press the On/Off button located on the control panel to turn the system on or off.

2. CD Playback

  1. Gently lift the CD compartment cover.
  2. Place a CD onto the spindle with the label side facing up.
  3. Close the CD compartment cover.
  4. Press the CD Play/Pause button to begin playback.
  5. Use the Stop button to halt playback.
  6. Use the Skip/Scan buttons (forward and backward arrows) to navigate between tracks.
  7. Press the CD Mode button to cycle through playback options (e.g., repeat, shuffle).

3. Radio Operation (AM/FM)

  1. Press the FM or AM button to select the desired band.
  2. Use the Seek/Tune buttons (left and right arrows) to find radio stations.
  3. To save a station as a preset, tune to the desired station, then press and hold one of the numbered preset buttons (1-5) until you hear a confirmation tone or see the preset number appear on the display.
  4. To recall a preset station, simply press the corresponding numbered preset button.

4. Auxiliary Input

Press the AUX button to switch the audio source to the auxiliary input. Ensure your external device is connected and playing audio.

5. Volume Control

Use the Volume Up (up arrow) and Volume Down (down arrow) buttons to adjust the listening level.

Maintenance

Cleaning the System

Wipe the exterior of the system with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents. Keep the CD compartment free of dust and debris.

CD Care

Handle CDs by their edges. Store them in their cases to prevent scratches. Clean dirty CDs with a soft, lint-free cloth, wiping from the center outwards.

Troubleshooting

  • No Power: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into both the system and a working electrical outlet.
  • No Sound: Check the volume level. Ensure the correct source (CD, FM, AM, AUX) is selected. If using AUX, verify the external device is playing and its volume is up.
  • CD Not Playing: Ensure the CD is inserted correctly with the label side up. Check if the CD is scratched or dirty. Try a different CD.
  • Poor Radio Reception: Adjust the FM antenna or reposition the AM loop antenna. Ensure the system is not near other electronic devices that may cause interference.
  • Remote Control Not Working: Check and replace the remote control batteries if necessary. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the system.
