My Weigh Triton T2 Digital Pocket Scale User Manual

Model: SCMT2-200

Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the My Weigh Triton T2 Digital Pocket Scale. This manual provides detailed instructions for the proper use, calibration, and maintenance of your scale to ensure accurate and reliable performance.

The My Weigh Triton T2 series offers high precision (0.01g) in a compact, durable design. It features a robust hard shell with grip ribs, and a removable ABS cover that doubles as an expansion tray. The scale includes an automatic red backlit LCD display for easy readability.

Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the scale from its packaging. Ensure all components are present: the Triton T2 scale and 2 AAA batteries.
  2. Battery Installation: Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale. Insert the two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
  3. Placement: Place the scale on a flat, stable, and level surface. It is crucial that the scale is not exposed to vibrations, air currents, extreme temperatures (outside 10°C-30°C), high humidity, or dust, as these can affect accuracy.
  4. Initial Power On: Turn the scale on. Allow it to self-test and acclimate for a few seconds. The display should show "0.0" or "0.00" once ready.

Operating Instructions

Basic Weighing

  1. Power On: Press the (Power) button to turn the scale on.
  2. Unit Selection: Press the UNIT button to cycle through available weighing units (e.g., grams, ounces, carats).
  3. Placing Item: Gently place the item to be weighed on the center of the weighing platform.
  4. Reading: Wait for the display to stabilize and read the weight.
  5. Power Off: Press and hold the (Power) button to turn the scale off, or it will automatically shut off after 60 seconds of inactivity.

Tare Function

The tare function allows you to subtract the weight of a container, so you only measure the net weight of its contents.

  1. Place an empty container on the weighing platform.
  2. Press the ←0→ (Tare/Zero) button. The display will reset to "0.00".
  3. Add the items to be weighed into the container. The display will show only the weight of the items.

Calibration

To ensure the highest accuracy, periodic calibration is recommended. You will need two accurate 100g calibration weights (not included) for this process.

  1. Turn the scale off and place it on a flat, stable surface.
  2. Press the ←0→ (Tare/Zero) key. The display will show "0.00".
  3. Press and hold the UNIT key for 5 seconds. The display will show "ZERO" and then the required calibration weight (e.g., "100g").
  4. Gently place the first 100g calibration weight on the center of the tray and wait for 3 seconds. The display will then show the next required calibration weight (e.g., "200g").
  5. Next, place another 100g weight on the platform to make a total of 200g. Wait for 3 seconds. The display will show "CAL" then "PASS". Calibration is now complete. Remove the weights.
