1. Product Overview

The HOFSTEIN Kasan Outdoor Floor Lamp is a modern, elegant lighting solution designed for outdoor spaces. Constructed from weather-resistant stainless steel with a white plastic lampshade, it provides ambient lighting for entrances, garden beds, paths, verandas, or terraces. 4. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation of your outdoor floor lamp.

4.1 Tools Required (Not Included)

• Screwdriver
• Drill (if mounting to a solid surface)
• Wire strippers
• Electrical tape
• Measuring tape
• Pencil

4.2 Mounting the Lamp

1. Choose Location: Select a suitable outdoor location with access to a power supply. Ensure the surface is level and stable.
2. Mark Drilling Points: Place the lamp's base on the desired mounting spot. Use a pencil to mark the positions for the mounting screws.

3. Drill Holes: Drill pilot holes at the marked points. Use an appropriate drill bit size for the provided anchors and screws.
4. Secure Base: Insert anchors into the drilled holes (if required for your surface). Position the lamp base over the holes and secure it firmly with the screws.

4.3 Electrical Connection

WARNING: Ensure power is OFF at the main circuit breaker before proceeding with electrical connections.

1. Prepare Wires: Carefully strip the insulation from the power supply wires and the lamp's internal wires, exposing approximately 1 cm of copper.
2. Connect Wires: Connect the live (brown/red), neutral (blue/black), and earth (green/yellow) wires from your power supply to the corresponding terminals inside the lamp's wiring compartment. Ensure connections are tight and secure.
3. Insulate Connections: Use electrical tape or appropriate connectors to insulate all exposed wire connections.
4. Close Compartment: Carefully tuck all wires into the wiring compartment and securely close the cover to maintain the IP44 rating.

4.4 Installing the Bulb

1. Select Bulb: Choose an E27 bulb with a maximum wattage of 60W. LED bulbs are recommended for energy efficiency.
2. Insert Bulb: Carefully screw the E27 bulb into the lamp's socket until it is snug. Do not overtighten.
3. Attach Lampshade: Secure the white plastic lampshade onto the lamp unit according to the design.

5. Operating Instructions

Once installed and connected to power, the HOFSTEIN Kasan Outdoor Floor Lamp operates via your external power switch. There are no integrated switches on the lamp itself.

• Turning On/Off: Use the wall switch or external timer connected to the lamp's power supply to turn the light on or off.
• Bulb Replacement: Refer to Section 6.1 for instructions on replacing the light bulb.

6.1 Cleaning

• Disconnect Power: Always turn off the power supply before cleaning.
• Stainless Steel: Wipe the stainless steel parts with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a mild stainless steel cleaner. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, which can scratch the surface.
• Plastic Lampshade: Clean the plastic lampshade with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap solution. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
• Inspection: Periodically inspect the lamp for any signs of damage, loose connections, or wear.

6.2 Bulb Replacement

• Disconnect Power: Turn off the power supply to the lamp.
• Allow to Cool: If the lamp has been on, allow the bulb to cool completely before handling.
• Remove Lampshade: Carefully detach the plastic lampshade.
• Unscrew Old Bulb: Unscrew the old E27 bulb counter-clockwise.
• Insert New Bulb: Screw in a new E27 bulb (max 60W) clockwise until secure.
• Reattach Lampshade: Securely reattach the plastic lampshade.
• Restore Power: Turn the power supply back on.
