5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Battery

1. Insert the supplied rechargeable battery into the battery charger.
2. Connect the charger to a power outlet. The charging indicator will illuminate.
3. Charge the battery fully before first use. The indicator will change or turn off when charging is complete.

5.2 Inserting the Memory Card

The DMC-FH10 uses microSD memory cards.

1. Open the battery/card compartment cover located at the bottom of the camera.
2. Insert a microSD memory card (sold separately) with the contacts facing down, pushing it gently until it clicks into place.
3. Close the battery/card compartment cover securely.

5.3 Setting Date and Time

Upon first power-on, the camera will prompt you to set the date and time. Follow the on-screen instructions:
