The RCA USB Charging Clock Radio (Model RC207A) is a compact bedside device designed for convenience and functionality. Setup and Initial Operation
Power Connection
To begin, connect the clock radio to a standard AC power outlet using the provided power cord. For optimal performance and to ensure time retention during brief power interruptions, install a 9V battery (not included) into the battery compartment located on the bottom of the unit. This battery backup will maintain your time and alarm settings.

Setting the Time
- Press and hold the Set Time button located on the top panel until the display begins to flash.
- While the time is flashing, press the Hour + button repeatedly to adjust the hour. Observe the PM indicator light to ensure you set the correct AM or PM time.
- Press the Minute + button repeatedly to adjust the minutes.
- Once the desired time is set, press the Set Time button again to confirm and exit the setting mode. The display will stop flashing.
USB Charging Function
The clock radio features a convenient USB charging port on its side. Simply connect your device's USB charging cable to this port to begin charging. This port is designed for charging only and does not support data transfer.

Operating Your Clock Radio
FM Radio Operation
- Press the ON/OFF button to turn the radio on or off.
- Use the TUNE - or TUNE + buttons to manually tune to your desired FM station.
- To automatically scan for the next available station, press and hold the TUNE - or TUNE + button until the frequency starts scanning.
- Adjust the volume using the VOL - or VOL + buttons.
- To set a radio preset, tune to the desired station, then press and hold the Recall/Store button until the preset number flashes. Use the TUNE + or TUNE - buttons to select a preset number, then press Recall/Store again to save.
Alarm Functions (Dual Wake)
The clock radio supports two independent alarms (AL1 and AL2).
- Press and hold the AL1 Set or AL2 Set button until the alarm time flashes.
- Use the Hour + and Minute + buttons to set the desired alarm time.
- Press the AL1 Set or AL2 Set button again to confirm the time.
- Press the Beep/Music/Off button to cycle through wake options: Beep (alarm tone), Music (radio), or Off. The corresponding indicator light (BEEP or MUSIC) will illuminate.
- To turn off a sounding alarm, press the ON/OFF button.
Sleep Timer and Snooze
- Sleep Timer: While the radio is on, press the Sleep button repeatedly to cycle through sleep timer durations (e.g., 90, 60, 30, 15 minutes, or OFF). The radio will automatically turn off after the selected time.
- Snooze: When an alarm sounds, press the large SNOOZE button to temporarily silence the alarm for approximately 9 minutes. The alarm will sound again after the snooze period.
Display Brightness
To adjust the brightness of the blue LED display, press and hold the Dimmer button. The display will cycle through different brightness levels, allowing you to select your preferred setting.
Care and Maintenance
- Keep the unit dry. If it gets wet, wipe it dry immediately.
- Use and store the unit in normal temperature environments.
- Keep the unit away from dust and dirt.
- Handle the unit gently; do not drop or strike it.
- Clean the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Replace the 9V battery annually or when the display flashes continuously, indicating low battery.
Troubleshooting
