4. Setup and Installation

The Havells Ventil Air DB Exhaust Fan is designed for wall mounting. Professional installation is recommended.

4.1. Unpacking

  • Carefully remove the exhaust fan from its packaging.
  • Verify that all components are present: 1 N Exhaust fan.
  • Inspect the fan for any signs of damage during transit. Do not install if damaged.

4.2. Site Selection

  • Choose a location on a wall that allows for effective ventilation, typically in kitchens or bathrooms.
  • Ensure the wall material is strong enough to support the fan's weight (approx. 5.43 kg).
  • The hole on the wall needs to be adequately sized to accommodate the fan and its front grill. Refer to the dimensions table below.

The current model is 300mm. Ensure the wall opening is sufficient for the 396mm (A) outer dimension and 208.5mm (E) depth. Use the four holes (D dia) for secure mounting.

4.4. Electrical Connection

  • Ensure the main power supply is turned OFF before making any electrical connections.
  • Connect the fan to a 230V AC power supply.

  • The fan operates with a push-button switch type.

5. Operating Instructions

The Havells Ventil Air DB Exhaust Fan is simple to operate.

  1. Power On: Once installed and wired, turn on the main power supply to the fan.
  2. Start Fan: Press the designated push-button switch to turn the fan ON. The fan will immediately begin to operate, drawing air out of the room.
  3. Stop Fan: Press the push-button switch again to turn the fan OFF.
  4. Bird Guard: The integrated bird guard automatically prevents birds from entering when the fan is not operational.

The fan has a single speed setting and operates at 1400 RPM.

6. Maintenance and Care
