3. Setup

3.1 Connecting the Phone

  1. Connect the Handset: Plug one end of the coiled cord into the handset and the other end into the designated jack on the phone base unit.
  2. Connect to Phone Line: Insert one end of the straight line cord into the phone base unit's line jack and the other end into your telephone wall jack.

4.1 Making a Call

  1. Lift the handset.
  2. Listen for a dial tone.
  3. Dial the desired telephone number using the keypad.
  4. Once the call is complete, replace the handset on the base unit.

4.2 Receiving a Call

  1. When the phone rings, lift the handset to answer the call.
  2. After the conversation, replace the handset on the base unit.

4.3 Redial Function

To redial the last number called:

  1. Lift the handset.
  2. Press the REDIAL button. The phone will automatically dial the last number.

4.4 Pause Function

The Pause function inserts a delay in the dialing sequence, useful when dialing numbers that require waiting for a second dial tone (e.g., PABX systems).

  1. Lift the handset and begin dialing.
  2. At the point where a pause is needed, press the PAUSE button.
  3. Continue dialing the remaining digits after the pause.

4.5 Ringer Volume Control

The ringer volume can be adjusted using the switch located on the side or bottom of the phone base unit. Slide the switch to your desired volume level (e.g., High, Low, Off).

4.6 Tone/Pulse Dialing Switch

The Beetel B25 supports both Tone (DTMF) and Pulse dialing modes. The switch is typically located on the side or bottom of the phone base unit, or near the keypad (refer to Figure 2.2).

Note: Most modern telephone exchanges use Tone dialing. If you are unsure, try Tone mode first.
