Care and Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity of your Babycook Solo.
- Dishwasher Safe Parts: The bowl (container) and cooking basket are top-rack dishwasher safe.
- Blade Cleaning: The blending blade can be unscrewed for thorough cleaning to prevent food residue buildup.
- Note on Discoloration: The steaming basket may experience some discoloration after repeated washes, especially if placed in a dishwasher. This is normal and does not affect the product's functionality or safety.
- Base Cleaning: Wipe the main unit (base) with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base in water.
- Descaling: Periodically descale the water reservoir to prevent mineral buildup. Use a descaling solution recommended for kitchen appliances or a mixture of water and white vinegar.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Babycook Solo, refer to the following common solutions:
- Appliance Not Turning On: Ensure the unit is properly plugged into a 120V earthed socket. Check that the lid is securely closed and locked into place. Verify that there is sufficient water in the reservoir for steaming functions.
- Food Not Pureeing Smoothly: If the puree is too thick or not smooth enough, add more of the reserved cooking liquid (from steaming) or a small amount of water/breast milk/formula before blending. Ensure food pieces are small enough before steaming.
- Steaming Basket Discoloration: As noted in the Care and Maintenance section, some discoloration of the steaming basket is normal over time, especially with dishwasher use. This does not impact performance.
- Unusual Noises During Blending: Ensure the container is properly seated on the base and the lid is securely closed. Do not overfill the container.
