Operating Instructions
The ARC-2000ASB features a user-friendly digital control panel for various cooking functions.

General Rice Cooking Steps:
- Measure rice using the provided measuring cup. Rinse rice thoroughly until water runs clear.
- Place rinsed rice into the inner pot.
- Add water to the inner pot according to the measurement lines inside the pot, corresponding to the number of cups of rice used. For example, for 2 cups of white rice, fill water to the '2' line for white rice.
- Close the lid securely.
- Select the desired cooking function.
- The cooker will automatically switch to Keep-Warm once cooking is complete.
Functions:
- White Rice: Press the 'White Rice' button to cook white rice. The cooker will automatically adjust cooking time and switch to Keep-Warm.
- Brown Rice: Press the 'Brown Rice' button for brown rice. This setting includes a pre-soak phase for optimal texture.
- Quick Rice: For faster cooking of white rice, press the 'Quick Rice' button. This setting reduces cooking time by up to 50%.
- Smart Steam: This function allows you to steam food with a programmable timer. Press 'Smart Steam', then use the '+' or '-' buttons to adjust the steaming time. The cooker will automatically shut off after the set time.
- Slow Cook (High/Low): Use for slow cooking recipes. Press 'Low' for low heat or 'High' for high heat slow cooking. The cooker will maintain the selected temperature for an extended period.
- Delay Timer: This feature allows you to program the cooker to start cooking at a later time. Select your desired cooking function (e.g., White Rice), then press 'Delay Timer' and use '+' or '-' to set the delay time. The cooker will start cooking after the set delay.
- Keep Warm: After cooking, the unit automatically switches to Keep-Warm. You can also manually select 'Keep Warm' to warm food.
Steaming Food:

The steam tray can be used simultaneously with rice cooking or as a standalone steaming function.
- Add water to the inner pot (approximately 1-2 cups for steaming only, or as required for rice).
- Place food to be steamed into the steam tray.
- Insert the steam tray into the inner pot.
- Close the lid.
- Select 'Smart Steam' and set the desired time, or select a rice cooking function if steaming simultaneously.
Slow Cooking:

The slow cook function is suitable for stews, soups, and other recipes requiring extended cooking times.
- Add ingredients to the inner pot.
- Close the lid.
- Press either 'Low' or 'High' for the desired slow cook setting.
- Monitor cooking progress as needed.
Cleaning and Maintenance

- Always unplug the unit and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- The non-stick inner pot, steam tray, rice measuring cup, and serving spatula are dishwasher safe. Alternatively, wash them in warm, soapy water, rinse, and dry thoroughly.

- Never immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
