Introduction

The Apple Lightning to Digital AV Adapter allows you to mirror content from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod with a Lightning connector to an HDMI-equipped television, display, projector, or other compatible display. This includes apps, presentations, websites, slideshows, and more, in up to 1080p HD. It also supports video output for movies, TV shows, and captured video to your large screen in up to 1080p HD. The adapter supports both video and audio output.

Follow these steps to connect your Lightning Digital AV Adapter:

  1. Ensure your Apple device (iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch) is running iOS 9 or later.

Operating

Once connected, your Apple device's screen content will automatically mirror to the connected display. For video content, the adapter will output the video in up to 1080p HD. Ensure your device's volume is adjusted as needed, as audio will also be transmitted through the HDMI connection.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and proper function of your adapter:

  • Keep the adapter clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth for cleaning.
  • Avoid exposing the adapter to extreme temperatures, moisture, or direct sunlight.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the adapter yourself. This may void any applicable warranty.
  • Handle the connectors gently to prevent damage to the pins.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your adapter, try the following:

  • No display on TV/Projector: Ensure all cables are securely connected. Verify that the TV/projector is set to the correct HDMI input. Try restarting your Apple device.
  • Poor video quality: Ensure your Apple device is running the latest iOS version. Check the HDMI cable for damage.
  • No audio: Confirm the volume on your Apple device and the connected display is turned up. Check the audio settings on your Apple device.
  • Intermittent connection: Disconnect and reconnect all cables. Ensure there is no debris in the Lightning port of your device or the adapter.
