4. Setup
4.1. Battery Installation

4.2. Initial Power On
Press the ON button to power on the device. The LCD display will illuminate and show the default measurement mode.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Basic Distance Measurement
- Ensure the device is powered on.
- Point the laser emitter towards the target surface.
- Press the ON button once. The laser beam will activate.
- Press the ON button again to take the measurement. The measured distance will appear on the display.

5.2. Changing Units
Press the UNITS button repeatedly to cycle through available measurement units: feet, inches (decimal), inches (fractional), and meters.
5.3. Area Measurement
- Press the Area/Volume button once to enter Area mode. An icon representing area will appear on the display.
- Measure the first side (e.g., length) by pressing the ON button.
- Measure the second side (e.g., width) by pressing the ON button again.
- The device will automatically calculate and display the area.
5.4. Volume Measurement
- Press the Area/Volume button twice to enter Volume mode. An icon representing volume will appear on the display.
- Measure the length, width, and height sequentially by pressing the ON button after each measurement.
- The device will automatically calculate and display the volume.
5.5. Continuous Measurement Tracking
To activate continuous measurement, press and hold the ON button. The device will continuously update the distance measurement as you move it, allowing for quick target finding. Release the button to stop tracking.
5.6. Addition and Subtraction
After taking a measurement, press the +/- button to add or subtract subsequent measurements. The display will indicate whether you are adding or subtracting. Press the ON button to take the next measurement, and the device will perform the calculation.
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the device. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the device in a dry, dust-free environment when not in use. Remove batteries if storing for extended periods to prevent leakage.
- Calibration: The device is factory calibrated. No user calibration is required.
