The delay brew feature allows you to set a specific time for your coffeemaker to start brewing automatically.

  1. Prepare the coffeemaker with water and coffee grounds as described in the 'Brewing Coffee' section.
  2. Press the 'Set Delay' button. The 'Delay Brew' indicator light will flash.

Pause 'n Serve Feature

This feature allows you to pour a cup of coffee before the entire brewing cycle is complete.

  • During the brewing cycle, you can temporarily remove the carafe to pour a cup. The brewing will pause automatically.
  • Return the carafe to the warming plate within 20 seconds to prevent overflow and resume brewing.

Maintenance

Daily Cleaning

  • Always unplug the coffeemaker before cleaning.
  • Discard used coffee grounds and paper filter.
  • Wash the carafe, lid, and filter basket in warm, soapy water. These parts are top-rack dishwasher safe.
  • Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.

Decalcification (Mineral Deposit Removal)

Mineral deposits (calcium and lime) can build up in your coffeemaker over time, affecting its performance. Decalcify your coffeemaker every 80 brew cycles or monthly, depending on water hardness.

  1. Pour 4 cups of undiluted white household vinegar into the water reservoir.
  2. Place an empty paper filter in the filter basket and close the lid.
  3. Place the empty carafe with its lid on the warming plate.
  4. Press the 'Brew Now' button and allow half of the vinegar solution to brew into the carafe.
  5. Turn off the coffeemaker and let it soak for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Turn the coffeemaker back on and allow the remaining vinegar solution to brew through.
  7. Discard the vinegar solution and rinse the carafe and filter basket.
  8. Fill the water reservoir with 12 cups of fresh, clean water and run two full brew cycles to flush out any remaining vinegar.
