Introduction

Setup

1. Battery Installation

The remote control requires four (4) AAA batteries, which are included. To install:

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
2. Slide open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert the four AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. Initial Use

This Redi-Remote is pre-programmed for KLH R3000 and R3100 units. No additional programming is required. Simply install the batteries, point the remote at your KLH receiver, and begin operation.

Operating Instructions

The remote control features a standard layout for common functions and a sliding cover to access additional controls.

Main Control Panel

The upper section of the remote provides primary control functions:

• PWR (Power): Turns the receiver on or off.
• SLEEP: Activates the sleep timer function (if supported by the receiver).
• TVI/VIDEO: Switches between TV and Video input sources.

• TUNING ▲/▼: Fine-tunes radio frequencies or other settings.
• Source Selection Buttons (CD, TAPE, AM/FM, VCR, TV): Directly selects the corresponding audio/video input source on your receiver.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

If the remote control's performance degrades or it stops responding, replace all four AAA batteries. Always replace all batteries at the same time with new ones of the same type. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.

Cleaning

To clean the remote control, use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as these may damage the remote's surface or internal components.

Troubleshooting

• Remote not responding:
  • Ensure the batteries are correctly installed with the proper polarity.
  • Replace the batteries with fresh ones.
  • Verify there are no obstructions between the remote control and the receiver's infrared sensor.
  • Ensure you are within the effective operating range of the receiver.
• Specific buttons not working:
  • Check for any debris or stickiness around the button.
