3. Setup

3.1 Setting the Time

1. Pull the crown (the small knob on the side of the watch) out to position 2.
2. Turn the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to move the hour and minute hands to the correct time. Ensure you set the correct AM/PM for the date change.
3. Push the crown back into position 1 to start the watch.

3.2 Setting the Date and Day

1. Pull the crown out to position 1 (first click).
2. Turn the crown clockwise to adjust the date subdial.
3. Turn the crown counter-clockwise to adjust the day subdial.
4. Once the date and day are set, push the crown back into the normal operating position.

3.3 Adjusting the Bracelet

The stainless steel bracelet features removable links for a customized fit. It is recommended to have a professional jeweler adjust the bracelet to prevent damage. If you choose to adjust it yourself, use appropriate watch link removal tools to carefully push out the pins from the links you wish to remove. Ensure the pins are reinserted securely after adjustment.

4. Operating Instructions

Your Fossil Riley Multifunction Watch is designed for straightforward operation. Once the time, date, and day are set as described in the Setup section, the watch will continuously display the current time and calendar information.

However, it is not designed for scuba diving. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before exposing the watch to water. Avoid operating the crown or pushers while the watch is wet or submerged.

5.3 Battery Replacement

The watch is powered by a CR2 battery. When the battery runs low, the watch hands may stop or operate erratically. Battery replacement should be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance. Attempting to replace the battery yourself may void the warranty and compromise the watch's water resistance.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Watch Not Running

• Check the Crown: Ensure the crown is fully pushed in to the normal operating position. If it is pulled out, the watch will not run.
• Battery: The battery may be depleted. Refer to section 5.3 for battery replacement.

6.2 Incorrect Time/Date

• Reset Time/Date: Follow the instructions in section 3.1 and 3.2 to reset the time, date, and day.
• Impact: A strong impact may have affected the movement. If the issue persists after resetting, professional inspection may be required.

• Temperature Changes: Rapid temperature changes can cause temporary condensation. This should dissipate naturally.
