5. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your Rossmax NA100 Nebulizer for use:

  1. Place the compressor unit on a clean, stable, and flat surface, ensuring it is within reach of an electrical outlet.
  2. Ensure the power switch on the compressor unit is in the 'OFF' (O) position.
  3. Connect one end of the air tube to the air outlet connector on the compressor unit.
  4. Open the nebulizer cup by twisting its top counter-clockwise.
  5. Pour the prescribed amount of medication into the nebulizer cup. Do not overfill. The maximum capacity is 5 ml.
  6. Securely close the nebulizer cup by twisting its top clockwise until it clicks into place.
  7. Connect the other end of the air tube to the air inlet on the bottom of the nebulizer cup.

6. Operating Instructions

Once the nebulizer is set up, follow these steps for treatment:

  1. Sit in an upright, comfortable position.
  2. If using the mouthpiece, place it between your teeth and seal your lips around it. If using a mask, place it securely over your nose and mouth. For infants, ensure the pacifier is properly positioned.
  3. Press the power switch to the 'ON' (I) position. The compressor will start, and a fine mist will begin to emerge from the nebulizer cup.
  4. Breathe normally and deeply through the mouthpiece or mask. Continue breathing until the medication is fully nebulized, which typically takes 5 to 15 minutes, or until no more mist is produced.
  5. Once the treatment is complete, press the power switch to the 'OFF' (O) position and unplug the device from the electrical outlet.

7. Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance are crucial for the proper functioning and longevity of your nebulizer. Always clean the device after each use.

Daily Cleaning (After Each Use)

  1. Disconnect the nebulizer cup, mouthpiece/mask, and air tube from the compressor unit.
  2. Disassemble the nebulizer cup into its individual components.
  3. Wash all components (nebulizer cup parts, mouthpiece, masks, pacifier) with warm water and a mild detergent.
  4. Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove all soap residue.
  5. Air dry all components completely on a clean paper towel or cloth. Do not use a towel to dry, as lint may clog the parts.
  6. The air tube should not be washed. If moisture is present inside the tube, run the compressor with the tube attached for a few minutes to dry it out.

Disinfection (Weekly or as Recommended)

  1. After daily cleaning, disinfect the nebulizer cup, mouthpiece, masks, and pacifier by soaking them in a solution of one part white vinegar to three parts distilled water for 30 minutes. Alternatively, use a medical disinfectant solution as per its manufacturer's instructions.
  2. Rinse all components thoroughly with sterile water.
  3. Air dry completely on a clean, lint-free surface.

Compressor Unit Care

  • Wipe the exterior of the compressor unit with a clean, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or submerge the unit in water.
  • Regularly check the air filter. Replace it if it appears dirty, discolored, or after approximately 30 hours of use, or as recommended by your healthcare provider.
