6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance will extend the life and performance of your foosball table.

  • Cleaning the Playfield: Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down the playing surface. Avoid abrasive cleaners or excessive moisture.
  • Rod Maintenance: Periodically clean the playing rods with a soft cloth. For smoother operation, apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to the rods where they pass through the table bushings. Avoid oil-based lubricants as they can attract dust and debris.
  • Check Fasteners: Regularly inspect all screws, bolts, and connections. Re-tighten any loose fasteners to maintain table stability and structural integrity.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the table in a dry, temperature-controlled environment to prevent warping or damage to the engineered wood components.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your foosball table, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Stiff or Sticky Rods: If playing rods are difficult to move, clean them thoroughly and apply a silicone-based lubricant to the rod surfaces and bushings.
  • Uneven Playing Surface: Use the adjustable leg levelers to raise or lower each corner of the table until the playing field is perfectly level.
  • Wobbling Table: Check all leg and cabinet fasteners and tighten any that are loose. Ensure the table is on a flat surface and adjust leg levelers.
  • Players Not Secure: Ensure the screws attaching the players to the rods are fully tightened.
