Follow these steps to set up your TRENDnet TPE-TG80G 8-Port Gigabit PoE+ Switch:

  1. Placement: Position the switch on a flat, stable surface or mount it in a suitable location. Ensure adequate ventilation around the device.
  2. Connect Power: Connect the included power adapter to the switch's power input port and then plug the adapter into a standard electrical outlet. The POWER LED on the front panel should illuminate.
  3. Connect Network Devices: Connect your network devices (e.g., computers, network-attached storage, non-PoE devices) to any of the 8 Gigabit ports using standard Ethernet cables.
  4. Connect PoE Devices: For Power over Ethernet (PoE) compatible devices (e.g., IP cameras, wireless access points), connect them to any of the 8 Gigabit PoE+ ports using Ethernet cables. The switch will automatically detect and provide power to these devices. Each port can supply up to 30W of PoE power, with a total budget of 123W for the switch.
