Operating Instructions

1. Understanding the Display

The large LCD screen displays current time, day, temperature, and system status. Key indicators include:

  • Time and Day: Displays the current time (e.g., 13:42) and day of the week (e.g., Wed).
  • Temperature: Shows the current room temperature (e.g., 23°C).
  • HOLD: Indicates that the thermostat is in a temporary or permanent hold mode, overriding the program.
  • AUTO/HEAT/COOL: Shows the current operating mode of the system.

2. Basic Controls

The thermostat features two slider switches and several push buttons for control.

  • Fan Switch:
    • ON: Fan runs continuously.
    • AUTO: Fan runs only when heating or cooling system is active.
  • System Switch:
    • COOL: Thermostat controls cooling.
    • OFF: System is off.
    • HEAT: Thermostat controls heating.
    • AUTO: Thermostat automatically switches between heating and cooling to maintain the set temperature.

3. Setting Time and Day

  1. Press the DAY/TIME button.
  2. Use the UP or DOWN arrows on the navigation pad to adjust the time.
  3. Press DAY/TIME again to set the day of the week.
  4. Use the UP or DOWN arrows to select the day.
  5. Press RUN to save and exit.

4. Programming the Thermostat

The thermostat supports 7-day or 5+2 day programming with 4 periods per day.

  1. Press the PROG button to enter programming mode.
  2. Use PROG DAY to select the day or group of days (e.g., Mon-Fri, Sat-Sun).
  3. Use the PROG button to cycle through the 4 periods (e.g., Wake, Leave, Return, Sleep).
  4. For each period, use the UP or DOWN arrows to set the desired temperature and time.
  5. Repeat for all periods and days.
  6. Press RUN to save the program and return to normal operation.

5. Hold and Override Functions

  • Temporary Override: To temporarily change the temperature until the next programmed period, simply use the UP or DOWN arrows. The "HOLD" indicator will flash. The thermostat will revert to the program at the start of the next scheduled period. Press HOLD for less than 1 second to return to the program.
  • Permanent Override (Hold): To maintain a set temperature indefinitely, press the HOLD button. The "HOLD" indicator will appear steadily on the display. Use the UP or DOWN arrows to set the desired temperature. To cancel, press HOLD again, or press RUN.
  • Designated Day Override: Press HOLD twice, then DAY/TIME or EMER to set up override days. Use the UP or DOWN arrows to set the temperature. Press HOLD to return to the program.

Maintenance

1. Battery Replacement

Replace the two AA batteries annually or immediately when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Refer to the "Battery Installation" section for detailed steps.

2. Cleaning
