Introduction
Thank you for choosing a Citizen Quartz Men's Watch, Model AG8300-52L. This manual provides detailed instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your watch. Please read it carefully to ensure proper use and longevity of your timepiece.
This watch features a conventional battery-operated Japanese Quartz movement with date of month and day of week display. It is crafted with a brushed and polished stainless steel case and band, a mineral glass crystal, and a blue dial with luminous hands and hour markers.
Setup
1. Initial Inspection
Upon unboxing, inspect your watch for any visible damage. Ensure all protective films are removed from the crystal and case back.

2. Setting the Time and Date
- Pull out the crown: Gently pull the crown (the knob on the side of the watch) to the second click position. The second hand will stop.
- Set the time: Rotate the crown to set the hour and minute hands. To ensure correct AM/PM setting for the date change, advance the hands past 12 o'clock. If the date changes, you are in the AM hours. Continue to set the correct time.
- Set the date and day: Push the crown back to the first click position. Rotate the crown clockwise to set the date and counter-clockwise to set the day of the week. Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can interfere with the automatic date change mechanism.
- Push in the crown: Once the time, date, and day are set, push the crown back into its normal position against the watch case. The second hand will resume movement.

3. Adjusting the Bracelet
The stainless steel bracelet may require adjustment for a comfortable fit. This typically involves removing or adding links. It is recommended to have this procedure performed by a qualified jeweler to prevent damage to the watch or bracelet.

Operating Your Watch
Timekeeping
Your Citizen Quartz watch is designed for accurate timekeeping. The main dial displays hours, minutes, and seconds. The sub-dials indicate the day of the week, the date of the month, and a 24-hour format for time reference.

Water Resistance
This watch is water resistant to 100 meters (WR 100). This means it is suitable for everyday use and can withstand splashes, rain, and brief immersion in water. It is generally suitable for swimming and snorkeling, but not for high-impact water sports or scuba diving. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before exposing the watch to water.
Maintenance
Cleaning
Wipe the watch case and bracelet periodically with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and moisture. For stainless steel, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by a dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
Battery Replacement
Your Citizen Quartz watch is powered by a conventional battery. When the second hand begins to move erratically (e.g., skipping seconds), it indicates a low battery. Battery replacement should be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and water resistance.
Storage
When not wearing your watch, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and strong magnetic fields. The original watch box provides excellent protection.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
