Resolving Red Wi-Fi Signal on Range Extender

If your Almond Range Extender displays a red Wi-Fi signal, indicating a connection issue, follow these steps:

  1. Attempt Reconnect: On the Almond's touchscreen, navigate to the "Range Extender" section and tap "Reconnect". Wait for the device to attempt re-establishing the connection.
  2. Reset Main Router: If reconnecting the Almond does not resolve the issue, you may need to reset your main router.
    • Unplug the power cable from your main router.
    • Wait for at least 10-15 seconds.
    • Plug the power cable back into your main router.
    • Allow the main router to fully boot up and establish its internet connection (all indicator lights should turn green). This may take several minutes.
  3. Reconnect Almond After Router Reset: Once your main router is fully operational, return to the Almond Range Extender.
    • On the Almond's touchscreen, tap "Reconnect" in the "Range Extender" section.
    • Observe if the Wi-Fi signal on the Almond turns green, indicating a successful connection.
  4. Power Cycle Almond: If the issue persists after resetting the main router and attempting to reconnect the Almond, perform a power cycle on the Almond device itself.
    • Unplug the power cable from the Almond Range Extender.
    • Wait for at least 10-15 seconds.
    • Plug the power cable back into the Almond.
    • Allow the Almond to boot up completely. Once it reaches the home screen, navigate to the "Range Extender" section and check the Wi-Fi signal status.
