Setup and Installation

The Apollo 8 warning light offers two primary mounting options: permanent surface mount or pipe mount.

Permanent Surface Mount

  1. Choose a flat, stable surface on your vehicle for mounting. Ensure the location provides clear 360° visibility.
  2. Use the provided rubber gasket as a template to mark the drilling locations for the mounting screws.
  3. Drill pilot holes at the marked locations.
  4. Secure the light base to the surface using the provided mounting hardware (screws, washers, nuts). Ensure a tight fit to prevent vibration.
  5. Route the power wires to the vehicle's electrical system. Connect the positive wire (typically red) to a switched 12-60V DC power source via the in-line fuse holder. Connect the negative wire (typically black) to a suitable ground point on the vehicle chassis.
  6. Ensure all wire connections are secure and protected from moisture and abrasion.

Pipe Mount

  1. Identify a suitable pipe or pole for mounting. The light is designed to fit standard pipe sizes.
  2. Use the provided hardware to secure the light base to the pipe.
  3. Route the power wires and connect them as described in the Permanent Surface Mount section.

Note: Professional installation is recommended if you are unfamiliar with vehicle electrical systems.

Operating Instructions

The Wolo Apollo 8 features eight (8) selectable warning light patterns.

  1. Once the light is powered on, it will activate in the last selected flash pattern.
  2. To change the flash pattern, momentarily press the pattern selection button (located on the unit or via a control wire).
  3. Each press of the button will cycle to the next available warning light pattern.
  4. Release the button when the desired pattern is displayed. The light will retain this pattern until changed again or power is disconnected.
