3.1 Top Panel Controls

  1. POWER Button: Press to turn the unit on or off.

4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Battery

Before first use, fully charge the internal rechargeable battery. Connect the AC power adapter to the DC IN port on the player and plug the other end into a standard wall outlet. The charging indicator light will illuminate. Charging typically takes several hours. The indicator light will change or turn off once fully charged.

4.2 Powering On/Off

Press the POWER button on the unit or the remote control to turn the player on. Press and hold the POWER button for a few seconds to turn it off.

4.3 Swivel Screen Adjustment

The screen can swivel up to 180 degrees and fold flat against the base, allowing for various viewing angles. Gently rotate the screen to your desired position. Avoid excessive force.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Playing a DVD/CD

  1. Open the disc cover by gently lifting it.
  2. Place a DVD or CD onto the disc spindle with the label side facing up. Gently press the disc down until it clicks into place.
  3. Close the disc cover.
  4. Ensure the player is in DVD mode (press MODE if necessary).
  5. The disc should begin playing automatically. If not, press the PLAY/PAUSE button.

5.2 Playing Media from USB/SD/MMC

  1. Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port or an SD/MMC card into the card slot.
  2. Press the MODE button repeatedly until USB or CARD mode is selected.
  3. Use the directional buttons and ENTER to navigate through your files (MP3, MPEG-4, JPEG).
  4. Select the desired file and press ENTER or PLAY/PAUSE to begin playback.

5.3 Basic Playback Controls

  • PLAY/PAUSE: Press once to pause, press again to resume.
  • STOP: Stops playback. Press PLAY to resume from the beginning of the disc/file.
  • PREV/NEXT: Skips to the previous or next chapter/track.
  • VOL-/VOL+: Adjusts the audio output level.

5.4 Using the Remote Control

Point the remote control directly at the infrared sensor on the front of the DVD player. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the player. The remote provides full control over all player functions, including menu navigation, playback, and setup options.

6. Battery Information

The Naxa NPD-703 features a built-in rechargeable battery that provides up to 2 hours of continuous playback on a full charge. Battery life may vary depending on usage, volume level, and screen brightness. To maximize battery life, reduce screen brightness and volume when possible.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning the Unit

Wipe the player's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn marks, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish.

7.2 Cleaning Discs

Wipe discs from the center outwards with a soft, lint-free cloth. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners. Avoid touching the playback surface of the disc.

7.3 Storage

When not in use for extended periods, store the player in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Remove any discs, USB drives, or SD cards before storage.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Naxa NPD-703, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
