SIEM-2T Transmitter

Setup
1. SIEM-2T Transmitter Setup
- Placement: Position the transmitter in a stable location, away from other wireless devices that may cause interference. Ensure the antenna has a clear line of sight to the receiver.
- Power Connection: Connect the provided power adapter to the DC input on the rear of the SIEM-2T transmitter and plug it into a suitable power outlet (12-18 Vdc).
- Audio Input: Connect your audio source (e.g., mixing console, audio interface) to the balanced XLR audio input connectors on the front panel. Use the Input Level controls to adjust the input signal strength. The AF Level LED display will help monitor the audio input.
- Loop Out (Optional): If you need to send the audio signal to other devices, use the Ø6.3 mm balanced loop out sockets.
- Power On: Turn on the transmitter using the power switch. The channel display will illuminate.
2. SIEM-2R Receiver Setup
- Battery Installation: Open the battery compartment on the rear of the SIEM-2R receiver. Insert 2 x AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment securely.
- Earphone Connection: Plug the IE-1 earphones into the 1/8" stereo jack output on the side of the receiver.
- Ear Tip Selection: Choose the ear tips that provide the best fit and comfort for your ears. A good seal is crucial for optimal sound quality and bass response.
- Power On: Turn on the receiver using the Power On/Off switch. The channel display will illuminate.
3. Channel Synchronization
For proper operation, the transmitter and receiver must be set to the same channel.
- On the SIEM-2T transmitter, use the channel selection buttons to choose a desired channel.
- On the SIEM-2R receiver, use its channel selection buttons to match the channel displayed on the transmitter.
- Once synchronized, the receiver should pick up the audio signal from the transmitter.
Operating Instructions
Power On/Off
- To power on the SIEM-2T transmitter, press its power switch.
- To power on the SIEM-2R receiver, slide its Power On/Off switch to the 'On' position.
- To power off, reverse these steps.
Channel Selection
Both the transmitter and receiver have channel selection buttons. Use these to cycle through the available 16 channels. Ensure both units are set to the same channel for proper audio transmission.
Volume Control
Adjust the monitoring volume using the volume control knob on the SIEM-2R receiver. Start with a low volume and gradually increase it to a comfortable listening level to prevent hearing damage.
Maintenance
Cleaning
- Wipe the surfaces of the transmitter and receiver with a soft, dry cloth.
- For the IE-1 earphones, gently remove the ear tips and clean them with mild soap and water. Ensure they are completely dry before reattaching.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals.
Battery Replacement (SIEM-2R Receiver)
When the battery indicator on the SIEM-2R receiver shows low power, or if audio quality degrades, replace the AA batteries. Always use fresh, high-quality alkaline or rechargeable AA batteries. Dispose of used batteries responsibly.
