2.2 Battery Installation

The RCA RCRPS04GR remote requires two (2) AA batteries (not included).

3. Setup: Programming Your Remote

Your RCA universal remote can be programmed using several methods. It is recommended to try Direct Code Entry first.

3.1 Direct Code Entry

This method involves entering a specific 5-digit code for your device's brand.

1. Turn on the device you wish to program (e.g., TV, DVD player).
2. Press and hold the CODE SEARCH button until the indicator light illuminates.
3. Press and release the device button you want to program (e.g., TV, DVD-VCR). The indicator light will blink once and then remain lit.

1. Turn on the device you wish to program.

4. Point the remote at your device and press the POWER button repeatedly (approximately every 2 seconds) until the device turns off.

5. Press and hold the button on the universal remote that you want to teach a new function to (e.g., a specific input button). The indicator light will blink rapidly.
6. While the indicator light is blinking, press and hold the corresponding button on your original remote.
7. The indicator light on the universal remote will blink twice and then turn off, indicating successful learning.
8. Release both buttons.
9. Repeat steps 5-8 for any other functions you wish to learn.
10. To exit learning mode, press the CODE SEARCH button.
