1. Product Overview

The Nuaire Flatmaster is a Positive Input Ventilation (PIV) unit specifically designed for properties without loft space. It operates by drawing fresh air from outside, filtering it, and then gently introducing it into the central hallway of the dwelling. This process creates a positive pressure environment, which helps to eliminate condensation dampness, prevent mould growth, and control dust-mite allergens. It also improves indoor air quality by removing indoor pollutants and preventing outdoor pollutants like pollen and Radon gas from entering.

3.2 Typical Installation Scenario

The dwelling internal air discharge grille is typically installed at a high level in a central location within the hallway. Discharging air down the length of the hallway, away from the front door, is also an acceptable method.

4. Operating Principle

The Flatmaster unit operates on the Positive Input Ventilation (PIV) principle. Clean fresh air is continuously drawn in from outside through a grille. This air is then passed through the Flatmaster unit, where it is filtered before being gently fed into a central location within the apartment or flat. This process pressurizes the indoor environment from the inside out, effectively driving out moisture and condensation, and replacing stale air with fresh, filtered air.

5. Maintenance

The Nuaire Flatmaster unit is designed for very low maintenance. The primary maintenance task involves the air filter.

5.1 Filter Cleaning and Replacement

The air filter should be cleaned or replaced approximately every 18 months to ensure optimal performance and air quality. Refer to the installation guide for specific instructions on accessing and servicing the filter.
