The automatic code search feature allows the remote to find the correct operating code for your device without manual input.
- Turn on the device you wish to control (e.g., TV, DVD player).
- Press and hold the CODE SEARCH button until the red indicator light illuminates.
- While holding CODE SEARCH, press the device button you want to program (e.g., TV, DVD, CBL). The red indicator light will blink once and then remain lit.
- Release both buttons. The red indicator light should still be lit.
- Point the remote at your device and repeatedly press the POWER button (or PLAY for VCR/DVD) until the device turns off (or starts playing). Pressing the button too quickly may skip codes. Allow a brief pause between presses.
