5. Maintenance
Battery Replacement:
The watch uses one CR1616 battery, which provides approximately 3 years of operation. When the display becomes dim or functions become erratic, it is time to replace the battery. Battery replacement should ideally be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and water resistance.
Cleaning:
Wipe the watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and moisture. For stubborn grime, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by a dry cloth. Avoid using chemical cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the watch's finish and components.
Water Resistance:
This watch is designed for daily use and can withstand splashes or brief immersion in water. However, it is not suitable for swimming, diving, or prolonged exposure to water. Avoid operating buttons while the watch is wet to prevent water ingress.
6. Troubleshooting
- Display is blank or dim: The battery may be low or depleted. Replace the battery.
- Buttons are unresponsive: Ensure the watch is not in a locked mode (if applicable, though not a feature of this model). If the issue persists, a reset may be required (consult a service center) or the battery may be low.
- Incorrect time/date: Re-enter the Timekeeping Mode and adjust the settings as described in Section 3.
- Calculator not working: Ensure you are in Calculator Mode. Check for any stuck buttons.
If problems persist after attempting these solutions, please contact Casio customer support or an authorized service center.
