Setup

Proper setup is crucial for safe and efficient operation of your Solo Stove Lite.

  1. Gather Fuel: Collect dry twigs, small branches (2-3 inches in length), and tinder. Hardwoods are recommended for best performance and less smoke.
  2. Find Level Ground: Select a stable, flat surface for the stove.
  3. Clear Area: Ensure a 5-foot radius around the stove is clear of any flammable debris, dry leaves, or grass.
  4. Assemble Stove: The Solo Stove Lite consists of two main parts: the main stove body and the cooking ring. Place the cooking ring on top of the stove body.

Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to operate your Solo Stove Lite for cooking or boiling water.

  1. Load Fuel: Place a small amount of tinder and kindling inside the stove.
  2. Light Fire: Ignite the tinder. Once the fire is established, gradually add more small pieces of wood through the top opening.
  3. Maintain Flame: The unique double-wall design and vent holes (360° Airflow Design) will draw in air from the bottom, feeding the primary combustion, and then preheated air will rise through the inner wall to fuel the secondary combustion, leading to a more efficient and low-smoke burn. Continue to feed small pieces of wood as needed to maintain the desired flame.
  4. Cooking: Place your pot or pan on the cooking ring. The stove is designed to boil water in 8-10 minutes (34 fl oz).
