1. Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the operation and maintenance of your Naxa NRC-175 Digital Alarm Clock Radio with CD Player and USB Charge Port. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the device to ensure proper function and to maximize your user experience. Keep this manual for future reference.
2. Safety Information
- Do not expose this appliance to rain or moisture.
- Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

5. Controls and Indicators
Familiarize yourself with the buttons and display on your NRC-175 unit:

- STANDBY Button: Powers the unit on or off.
- PRESET Button: Used to store and recall radio stations.
- REV/TUN- / FWD/TUN+ Buttons: Adjusts radio frequency or navigates CD tracks.
- TIME-SET Button: Initiates time setting mode.
- AL1/VOL- / AL2/VOL+ Buttons: Sets Alarm 1 or Alarm 2, and adjusts volume.
- REPEAT/PROG Button: Controls CD repeat modes or programs CD tracks.
- FUNCTION Button: Selects between CD, AM, FM, and AUX modes.
- SNOOZE/DIMMER Button: Temporarily silences the alarm or adjusts display brightness.

6. Setup
6.1 Power Connection
- Plug the AC power cord into a standard wall outlet.
- The unit will power on and the display will show the default time or flash.
6.2 Battery Backup
The unit requires 2 AAA batteries (not included) for clock backup during power outages. These batteries do not power the main functions of the unit.
- Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the unit.
- Insert 2 AAA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover.
6.3 Setting the Clock
- Ensure the unit is in standby mode (powered off but plugged in).
- Press and hold the TIME-SET button until the hour digits begin to flash.
- Use the REV/TUN- or FWD/TUN+ buttons to adjust the hour. Press TIME-SET to confirm.
- The minute digits will flash. Use the REV/TUN- or FWD/TUN+ buttons to adjust the minutes. Press TIME-SET to confirm.
- The time is now set.
7. Operating Instructions
7.1 Radio Operation
- Press the STANDBY button to turn on the unit.
- Press the FUNCTION button repeatedly to select either FM or AM radio mode.
- Press the BAND button to switch between AM and FM bands if needed.
- Use the REV/TUN- or FWD/TUN+ buttons to manually tune to a desired station. Press and hold these buttons for automatic scanning.
- To set a preset station: Tune to the desired station. Press and hold the PRESET button until the preset number flashes. Use REV/TUN- or FWD/TUN+ to select a preset number, then press PRESET again to save.
- To recall a preset station: Press the PRESET button repeatedly to cycle through saved stations.
- Adjust volume using the AL1/VOL- or AL2/VOL+ buttons.
7.2 CD Player Operation
- Press the STANDBY button to turn on the unit.
- Press the FUNCTION button repeatedly to select CD mode.
- Open the CD compartment cover on top of the unit.
- Place a CD with the label side facing up. Close the compartment cover.
- The CD will begin playing automatically. If not, press the Play/Pause button (often integrated with FWD/TUN+ or REV/TUN-).
- Use REV/TUN- or FWD/TUN+ to skip tracks. Press and hold to fast forward or rewind.
- Press the REPEAT/PROG button to cycle through repeat modes (e.g., repeat one track, repeat all tracks).
- To program tracks: In stop mode, press REPEAT/PROG. Use REV/TUN- or FWD/TUN+ to select a track, then press REPEAT/PROG to add it to the program list. Repeat for up to 20 tracks. Press Play to start programmed playback.
7.3 Alarm Functions
The NRC-175 features two independent alarms.
- Setting Alarm 1 or Alarm 2:
a. In standby mode, press and hold AL1/VOL- (for Alarm 1) or AL2/VOL+ (for Alarm 2) until the hour digits flash.
b. Use REV/TUN- or FWD/TUN+ to adjust the hour. Press the respective alarm button to confirm.
c. The minute digits will flash. Adjust minutes using REV/TUN- or FWD/TUN+. Press the alarm button to confirm.
d. The alarm source will flash (CD, Radio, or Buzzer). Use REV/TUN- or FWD/TUN+ to select your desired wake-up source. Press the alarm button to confirm.
e. The alarm is now set and activated. An alarm indicator will appear on the display. - Deactivating/Activating Alarm: Briefly press the respective alarm button (AL1/VOL- or AL2/VOL+) to toggle the alarm on or off. The alarm indicator will disappear when off.
- Snooze Function: When the alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE/DIMMER button to temporarily silence it for approximately 9 minutes.
- Stopping the Alarm: To turn off the alarm for 24 hours, press the STANDBY button. The alarm will sound again at the same time the next day.
- Sleep Timer: While the unit is playing (CD or Radio), press the SLEEP/RDM button repeatedly to set a sleep timer (e.g., 90, 60, 30, 15 minutes, or OFF). The unit will automatically turn off after the selected time.
7.4 USB Charging
The NRC-175 includes a USB port for charging compatible devices.

- Connect your device's USB charging cable to the USB port on the back of the NRC-175.
- Ensure the NRC-175 is plugged into an AC power source. The unit must be in standby mode or powered on for charging to occur.
- Charging will begin automatically.
7.5 AUX Input
Connect external audio devices using the AUX IN port.
- Connect a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) from your external device's headphone jack or line-out to the AUX IN port on the side of the NRC-175.
- Press the FUNCTION button repeatedly to select AUX mode.
- Play audio from your external device.
- Adjust the volume using the AL1/VOL- or AL2/VOL+ buttons on the NRC-175 and/or your external device.
8. Maintenance
8.1 Cleaning the Unit
- Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Ensure the unit is unplugged before cleaning.
8.2 CD Care
- Handle CDs by their edges to avoid fingerprints on the playing surface.
- Clean CDs with a soft, lint-free cloth, wiping from the center outwards.
- Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials to clean CDs.
9. Troubleshooting
