4. Setup and Installation
4.1 Before You Begin
- Turn OFF power at the circuit breaker or fuse box.
- Remove the existing wallplate and switch.
- Carefully identify the wiring in your wallbox.
4.2 Wiring Instructions
The SureSlide dimmer supports both single-pole and 3-way wiring configurations. No neutral wire is required for installation.

- Single-Pole Installation: Connect the dimmer to control lights from one location. Typically involves two wires from the light fixture and one ground wire.
- 3-Way Installation: Use the 6674 dimmer in the main location and pair it with a standard 3-way switch (sold separately) in a second location. This is suitable for rooms with multiple entrances or staircases.

4.3 Bulb Compatibility

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Basic Operation
- Turning ON/OFF: Use the rocker switch at the bottom of the dimmer to turn the lights on or off.
- Dimming: Use the vertical slide control to adjust the light level. Slide up for brighter light and down for dimmer light.
5.2 Adjusting Minimum Light Level (Programming Mode)
This feature allows you to set the lowest dimming level for your LED bulbs, which can help eliminate flicker and optimize performance at low light settings.

- Ensure the dimmer is set to the OFF position.
- Locate the bulb selector switch (often labeled "MODE" or similar) on the side of the dimmer, usually accessible by removing the wallplate. Set it to the LED/Incandescent position.
- Push the rocker switch to the ON position.
- Set the bulb selector switch to the CFL position.
- Raise or lower the slide control to achieve your desired minimum light level.
- Set the bulb selector switch back to the LED/Incandescent position.
- A momentary flash of the bulb will confirm the new setting.
- Push the rocker switch to the OFF position.
- For dimmable CFL lamps, you must return the bulb selector to the CFL position after setting the minimum level.
6. Maintenance
The Leviton SureSlide Dimmer Switch requires minimal maintenance. To clean the device, gently wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish or internal components. Ensure power is off before cleaning.
