4.1 Air Supply Connection

  1. Ensure your air compressor is capable of providing a continuous air pressure of 90 PSI (6.2 bar) at the tool.
  2. Install an in-line air filter/lubricator as close to the tool as possible. This helps to ensure clean, lubricated air, extending tool life.
  3. Connect a 1/4 inch NPT air hose to the air inlet of the die grinder. Use thread sealant tape for a secure, leak-free connection.
  4. Connect the other end of the air hose to your air compressor's regulated output.
  5. Before connecting, ensure the tool's paddle trigger is not depressed.

4.2 Installing Grinding Wheels/Accessories

  1. Disconnect the air supply from the tool before installing or changing accessories.
  2. Select the appropriate collet (1/4 inch or 1/8 inch) for your grinding wheel or accessory.
  3. Insert the collet into the collet nut, then thread the collet nut onto the spindle of the die grinder.
  4. Insert the shank of the grinding wheel or accessory fully into the collet.
  5. Using two wrenches (one to hold the spindle, one to tighten the collet nut), securely tighten the collet nut. Do not overtighten.
  6. Ensure the accessory is properly seated and runs true before operating the tool.

5. Operation

5.1 Pre-Operation Check

  • Verify that all safety precautions are understood and followed.
