Setup: Battery Installation

The Energizer ESAL351 lantern operates on either 3 D-cell or 3 AA-cell alkaline batteries (not included). Ensure correct polarity when inserting batteries.

1. Locate the battery compartment cover at the bottom of the lantern.
2. Twist or unlatch the cover to open the compartment.
3. Insert 3 D-cell or 3 AA-cell alkaline batteries according to the polarity indicators (+/-) inside the compartment.
4. Securely close the battery compartment cover.

Using either D or AA batteries provides flexibility, especially in emergency situations where one type might be more readily available.

Operating Instructions

Light Modes

The lantern features three distinct light modes: High, Low, and Night mode. Press the power button to cycle through the modes.

• High Mode: Provides maximum brightness (up to 500 lumens) for illuminating large areas.
• Low Mode: Offers reduced brightness for extended runtime or less intense lighting needs.
• Night Mode: A softer, warmer light ideal for sleeping environments or subtle illumination.

USB Power Output

The lantern is equipped with a USB port to provide emergency power to small electronic devices such as smartphones.

1. Ensure batteries are installed in the lantern.
2. Connect your device's USB charging cable to the USB output port on the lantern.
3. The lantern will begin to supply power to your device.
