Setup Guide

1. Charging the Battery

1. Insert the supplied Li-ion battery NP-45A / B into the camera.
2. Connect the AC adapter to the camera's USB port and then to a power outlet.
3. The charging indicator light will illuminate. Charging typically takes a few hours.
4. Once charging is complete, the indicator light will change or turn off. Disconnect the AC adapter.

2. Inserting the Memory Card

1. Open the battery/card compartment cover on the camera.
2. Insert the 4GB SDHC memory card into the designated slot with the label facing the correct direction (usually towards the front of the camera).
3. Gently push the card until it clicks into place.
4. Close the compartment cover securely.

3. Attaching the Hand Strap

Thread the hand strap through the strap eyelet on the camera body and secure it to prevent accidental drops.

Operating Instructions

Powering On/Off

Press the power button located on the top of the camera to turn it on or off. The lens will extend when powered on.

Taking Photos

1. Turn on the camera.
2. Select your desired shooting mode using the menu system. The camera features SR AUTO (Scene Recognition Auto) for automatic optimization.
3. Frame your shot using the 2.7-inch LCD display.
4. Press the shutter button halfway down to focus. The camera will confirm focus.
5. Press the shutter button fully down to capture the image.

Recording Videos

1. Turn on the camera.
2. Navigate through the menu to select the movie recording mode.
3. Press the dedicated movie record button (if available) or the shutter button to start recording.
4. Press the button again to stop recording. The camera supports 1080p HD video recording.

Zoom Function

Use the zoom lever (typically around the shutter button) to adjust the 5x optical zoom and 6.7x digital zoom. Zoom in for closer shots and zoom out for wider views.

Playback Mode
