2. Safety Information

• WARNING: To prevent possible entanglement injuries, the play arch with hanging colorful plush toys must be removed when the child begins to crawl on all fours.

4. Setup Instructions

The tectake® travel cot is designed for quick and easy assembly. Follow these steps for proper setup:

1. Unpack the Carry Bag: Remove the folded travel cot and all accessories from the transport bag.
2. Set Up the Bed Frame: Stand the folded cot upright. Pull the four side rails upwards until they click into place and are fully locked. It is crucial that the side rails are locked before proceeding.
3. Lock the Side Rails: Ensure all four side rails are rigid and securely locked. You should hear an audible click. If they do not lock, slightly lift the center of the base and try again.
4. Push Down the Base: Once all side rails are locked, push down the center of the cot's base firmly until it lies flat and is stable.
5. Insert the Sleeping Pad: Place the provided sleeping pad (base mattress) onto the flattened base of the cot.
6. Attach Accessories (as needed):
   • Baby Bed Insert: For an elevated sleeping position for infants, attach the insert using its zipper system to the upper frame of the cot.
   • Changing Mat: Clip the changing mat securely onto the top rails of the cot.
   • Play Arch: Attach the play arch to the designated slots on the top rails.

5. Operating Instructions

Adjusting Sleeping Height:

The tectake® travel cot offers a height-adjustable sleeping position. For newborns and younger infants, the baby bed insert can be easily installed using its zipper system to provide an elevated sleeping surface. This reduces the need to bend down excessively. As your child grows and begins to crawl or pull themselves up, remove the insert to utilize the lower, full depth of the cot for safety.

Using the Changing Mat:

The included changing mat can be attached to the top rails of the cot using its clip mechanism. Ensure it is securely fastened before placing your child on it. This feature provides a convenient and stable surface for diaper changes, especially when traveling. Remember, the changing mat is suitable for infants up to 12 months and 11 kg.

Mobility:

The cot is equipped with two wheels on one side, featuring integrated brakes. To move the cot, simply lift the non-wheeled side slightly and roll it to your desired location. Engage the brakes by pressing down on the brake levers to secure the cot in place and prevent accidental movement.

• Cot not locking during setup: Ensure all side rails are fully pulled up and locked into place *before* pushing down the center base. If the base is pushed down first, the side rails will not lock properly. Lift the base slightly and try locking the rails again.
• Difficulty folding the cot: Ensure the center base is pulled up completely before attempting to release the side rail locking mechanisms. The side rails will not release if there is tension from the base.
• Wheels not rolling smoothly: Check for any debris or obstructions around the wheels. Ensure the brakes are fully disengaged.
