1. Overview

2. Setup

2.1 Unpacking and Powering On

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. The LabelManager 210D can be powered using either 6 AA batteries (not included) or the provided AC power adapter. For initial setup, it is recommended to use the AC adapter.

  • Using AC Adapter: Connect the AC power adapter to the power port on the side of the label maker and plug it into a wall outlet.
  • Using Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the back of the device. Insert 6 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Close the battery compartment securely.

2.2 Loading a Label Cassette

The LabelManager 210D uses DYMO D1 label cassettes. Follow these steps to load a new cassette:

  1. Open the label cassette compartment cover located on the top-right side of the label maker.
  2. Insert the label cassette with the label tape facing the print head. Ensure the cassette clicks into place.
  3. Close the label cassette compartment cover.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Basic Label Creation

  1. Press the Power button to turn on the label maker.
  2. Type your desired text using the QWERTZ keyboard. The text will appear on the display.
  3. Use the formatting buttons (e.g., font size, bold, italic, underline) to customize your label's appearance.
  4. Press the Print button to print the label.
  5. Use the manual cutter on the side of the device to cut the printed label.

3.2 Applying Labels

Once printed and cut, labels are easy to apply:

  • Gently peel the backing from the label to expose the adhesive.
  • Carefully position the label on your desired surface.
  • Press firmly along the entire length of the label to ensure good adhesion.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning the Print Head

To maintain optimal print quality, regularly clean the print head. Use a DYMO cleaning cassette (sold separately) or a cotton swab lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol. Gently wipe the print head surface. Ensure the device is turned off and disconnected from power before cleaning.

4.2 Replacing Label Tape

When the label tape runs out or you wish to change label types, replace the cassette as described in Section 2.2. Always use genuine DYMO D1 label cassettes for best results.

5. Troubleshooting
