Safety Information

Setup

Unpacking

Carefully remove the shredder from its packaging. Retain packaging for future transport or storage.

Placement

Place the shredder on a level, stable surface near a power outlet. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.

Power Connection

Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.

Waste Bin Installation

Ensure the 15-liter waste bin is correctly inserted into the shredder unit. The shredder will not operate if the bin is not properly seated.

Operating Instructions

Powering On

Locate the power switch or control panel on the shredder. Switch the shredder to the "On" or "Auto" position. The shredder is now ready for use.

Automatic Feed Operation

  1. Open the automatic feed tray.
  2. Stack up to 60 sheets of paper (80 gsm) neatly into the automatic feed tray. Ensure there are no folded or crumpled sheets.
  3. Close the automatic feed tray. The shredder will automatically detect the paper and begin shredding.
  4. The shredder will stop once all paper in the tray has been processed.

Manual Feed Operation

  1. For single sheets, staples, paper clips, or credit cards, use the manual feed slot.
  2. Insert up to 6 sheets of paper (80 gsm) or one credit card/stapled document into the manual feed slot.
  3. The shredder will activate and process the item.

Continuous Operation and Cooling

The shredder is designed for occasional use. It can operate continuously for approximately 4 minutes. After this period, it will automatically enter a cooling down phase to prevent overheating. Allow the shredder to cool for the recommended time before resuming operation.

Emptying the Waste Bin

When the waste bin is full, the shredder may stop operating. Pull out the 15-liter waste bin and dispose of the shredded material. Reinsert the bin securely to resume operation.

Manual Reverse Function

In case of a paper jam, switch the shredder to the "Reverse" position. This will help clear the jam by moving the paper backward. Once cleared, switch back to "Auto" or "On".

Maintenance

Cleaning

Oiling the Shredder (Recommended)

To maintain optimal performance and extend the life of your shredder, it is recommended to oil the cutting blades periodically, especially after emptying the waste bin 2-3 times or if you notice a decrease in performance or increased noise.

  1. Apply shredder oil (specifically designed for paper shredders) across the paper entry slot.
  2. Run a few sheets of paper through the manual feed to distribute the oil.
  3. Alternatively, you can use an oiled sheet (a sheet of paper with shredder oil applied to it) and feed it through the manual slot.
