Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Nikon D750, regular maintenance is recommended:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the camera body. For the lens and sensor, use specialized cleaning kits and follow manufacturer guidelines to avoid damage.
- Battery Care: Store the EN-EL15 battery in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid fully discharging the battery for extended periods.
- Storage: When not in use, store the camera in a dry, dust-free environment, preferably with a desiccant to prevent mold and mildew.
Troubleshooting
Here are some common issues and their potential solutions:
- Focus Issues: If the camera struggles to focus, especially in low light, ensure your lens is clean and that the AF-area mode is appropriate for your subject. The D750's 51-point AF system is designed for excellent low-light performance down to -3EV.
- Image Noise at High ISO: While the D750 has excellent high ISO performance (up to ISO 51,200 expanded), excessive noise can occur. Try shooting in RAW format for better post-processing noise reduction, or adjust in-camera noise reduction settings.
- Shadow Banding (Flare Issue): Some D750 units may exhibit a shadow band at the top of the frame when shooting flares at specific angles. Nikon has issued an advisory for this and offers free repair if your camera is affected. This is generally not an issue during normal shooting.
- Wi-Fi Connection Problems: Ensure the Nikon Wireless Mobile Utility application is installed on your smart device. Check that Wi-Fi is enabled on both the camera and your device, and that they are within range.
