Introduction
The DYMO LabelManager 160 is a fast, simple, and portable label maker designed for efficient organization in both home and office environments. It features a computer-style QWERTY keyboard for quick text entry and one-touch fast-formatting keys for professional-looking labels. Its compact and lightweight design ensures portability, allowing users to create labels anywhere. The device supports over 20 text formatting options and more than 200 symbols and clip-art elements to customize labels. An automatic power-off function helps conserve battery life when the device is not in use.

Setup
Before using your LabelManager 160, ensure it is properly set up.
1. Installing Batteries
The LabelManager 160 requires 6 AAA batteries (not included). For optimal performance, use high-quality alkaline batteries.
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the label maker.
- Slide the cover downwards to open the compartment.
- Insert 6 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Replace the battery compartment cover by sliding it upwards until it clicks into place.

2. Loading a Label Cassette
The device uses DYMO D1 label tapes in 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" widths.
- Open the label cassette compartment cover located on the top rear of the label maker.
- Insert the label cassette with the label side facing up, ensuring it clicks firmly into place.
- Close the label cassette compartment cover.

Operating Instructions
1. Powering On/Off
- To power on, press the Power button (blue circle with line) on the top left of the keyboard.
- To power off, press and hold the Power button until the display turns off. The device also features an auto power-off function to save battery life.
3. Typing Text
Use the QWERTY keyboard to type your desired label text. The large display shows the text as you type.
4. Formatting Labels
The LabelManager 160 offers various formatting options:
- Font Size: Press the Aa button to cycle through available font sizes.
- Bold: Press the B button to apply bold formatting.
- Italic: Press the I button to apply italic formatting.
- Underline/Box: Press the U button to apply underline or box formatting.
- Symbols/Clip-Art: Press the @<u button to access a library of over 200 symbols and clip-art. Use the arrow keys to navigate and OK to select.
- Menu: Press the Menu button to access additional settings like text alignment, number of copies, and language.

5. Printing and Cutting Labels
- Once your text is entered and formatted, press the Print button (blue icon with printer symbol) on the top right of the keyboard. The label will feed out from the top of the device.
- To cut the label, press the Cutter button located on the right side of the label maker. This will cleanly cut the label.
- Peel the backing off the printed label to reveal the adhesive side and apply it to your desired surface.

Maintenance
1. Cleaning the Label Maker
To ensure optimal performance and longevity, regularly clean your LabelManager 160.
- Use a soft, clean cloth to wipe the exterior of the device.
- If necessary, lightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild cleaning solution. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Periodically open the label cassette compartment and gently clean any dust or debris from the print head and cutter blade area using a dry cotton swab.
2. Battery Replacement
Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display or when the device's performance degrades. Refer to the "Installing Batteries" section under Setup for instructions.
Important: Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage and damage.
Troubleshooting
