Introduction

Important Safety Information

To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, or injury, observe the following safety precautions:

  • Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip).
  • This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces.
  • Use extreme caution when any heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.
  • Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • To disconnect heater, turn controls to OFF, then remove plug from outlet.
  • Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
  • To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
  • A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored.
  • This heater is equipped with Automatic Overheat Protection. If the heater overheats, an automatic safety device will shut off the heater. To reset, unplug the heater from the outlet, wait 10 minutes for the unit to cool, then plug it back in.
  • The Cool Touch Exterior ensures the housing remains cool to the touch during operation, reducing burn risk.

Setup

The Lasko MyHeat Personal Space Heater requires no assembly. Simply remove it from its packaging and follow these steps:

  1. Place the heater on a firm, level surface. Ensure it is positioned where it can provide targeted warmth without obstruction.
  2. Plug the 6-foot power cord into a standard 120V wall outlet. The heater uses a 2-pronged plug.

Operating Instructions

Operating your Lasko MyHeat heater is straightforward:

  1. Once plugged in, locate the power switch on the front of the unit.
  2. Flip the switch to the "ON" position. The switch will illuminate, indicating the heater is active and producing warmth.
  3. To turn off the heater, flip the switch back to the "OFF" position. The light will turn off.

Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your heater:
