Important Safety Information

Setup and First Use
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and documentation.
- Cleaning: Wash the stoneware crock and glass lid in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. The heating base can be wiped with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the heating base in water.
- Placement: Place the slow cooker on a dry, level, heat-resistant surface, away from walls and curtains.
- Assembly: Place the stoneware crock into the heating base. Position the lid on top of the crock.
Operating Instructions
Your Hamilton Beach Set 'n Forget Slow Cooker offers three cooking modes: Program, Manual, and Probe.
1. Program Mode
This mode allows you to set a specific cooking time, after which the slow cooker automatically switches to the WARM setting.
- Add ingredients to the stoneware crock.
- Place the lid on the crock.
- Press the PROGRAM button.
- Use the UP/DOWN arrows to select the desired cooking time (e.g., 4 hours).
- Press ENTER to confirm the time.
- Use the UP/DOWN arrows to select the desired temperature setting (LOW or HIGH).
- Press ENTER to start cooking. The display will show the remaining cooking time.
- Once the cooking time expires, the slow cooker will automatically switch to WARM for up to 14 hours.
2. Manual Mode
For continuous cooking at a set temperature without a specific timer.
- Add ingredients to the stoneware crock and place the lid.
- Press the MANUAL button.
- Use the UP/DOWN arrows to select the desired temperature setting (LOW, HIGH, or WARM).
- Press ENTER to start cooking. The slow cooker will maintain this temperature until manually turned off.
3. Probe Mode
Ideal for cooking meats to a precise internal temperature. The slow cooker will switch to WARM once the target temperature is reached.
- Add ingredients to the stoneware crock.
- Insert the temperature probe into the thickest part of the meat, avoiding bone or fat.
- Plug the probe into the jack on the slow cooker base.
- Place the lid on the crock, ensuring the probe wire is not pinched.
- Press the PROBE button.
- Use the UP/DOWN arrows to select the desired internal meat temperature.
- Press ENTER to confirm the temperature.
- Use the UP/DOWN arrows to select the desired cooking temperature (LOW or HIGH).
- Press ENTER to start cooking. The display will show the current internal temperature of the meat.
- Once the target temperature is reached, the slow cooker will automatically switch to WARM.
Power Interruption Protection
In the event of a brief power outage, the slow cooker is designed to resume cooking once power is restored, preventing spoiled meals. The timer will continue from where it left off.
Transporting Your Slow Cooker
To transport your slow cooker, ensure the lid is securely latched using the clip-tight gasket lid. Use the full-grip handles for safe carrying.
Care and Maintenance
- Cleaning the Crock and Lid: The stoneware crock and glass lid are dishwasher safe or can be washed by hand with warm, soapy water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Cleaning the Heating Base: Unplug the unit and allow it to cool completely. Wipe the exterior of the heating base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the heating base in water or any other liquid.
- Cleaning the Probe: Wipe the temperature probe with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the probe connector in water.
- Storage: Ensure all parts are clean and dry before storing. Store the slow cooker in a cool, dry place.
Troubleshooting
