Setup
Package Contents
Verify that your package contains the following item:
- 1 x DCS1800-TR Wireless Handle/Transmitter
Note: The DCS1800 Receiving Console and camera probes are sold separately and are not included with this handle/transmitter.
Connecting to the System
- Ensure your DCS1800 or DCS1800ART system's receiving console is powered off.
- Attach the desired compatible camera probe (e.g., P16HPART, P16HP2ART, P16HP3ART VGA Resolution Articulating Probe, or a non-articulating probe) to the connection port on the DCS1800-TR Wireless Handle/Transmitter. Ensure a secure connection.
- Power on your DCS1800 or DCS1800ART receiving console. The DCS1800-TR will establish a wireless connection automatically.
The DCS1800-TR is designed to be powered by the connected camera probe or the main DCS1800/DCS1800ART system, therefore no separate batteries are required for the handle itself.
Operating Instructions
Wireless Imaging
The primary function of the DCS1800-TR is to transmit live inspection video and images wirelessly to your DCS1800 or DCS1800ART receiving console. This allows for flexible viewing and collaborative analysis on a larger screen, up to 150 feet away from the console.
- Once connected and powered on, the video feed from the attached camera probe will automatically appear on the receiving console's display.
- Utilize the controls on your DCS1800/DCS1800ART console to capture images, record video, or adjust settings as needed.
Probe Compatibility
This wireless handle/transmitter is compatible with a range of General Tools camera probes, including non-articulating probes and specific VGA Resolution Articulating Probes such as the P16HPART, P16HP2ART, and P16HP3ART. This broad compatibility allows you to select the appropriate probe for various inspection scenarios, providing access to otherwise inaccessible areas.
Maintenance
Cleaning
To ensure the longevity and proper functioning of your DCS1800-TR, follow these cleaning guidelines:
- Wipe the exterior of the handle/transmitter with a soft, dry cloth.
- For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals.
- Ensure no moisture enters the connection ports or any openings.
Storage
When not in use, store the DCS1800-TR in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. It is recommended to disconnect any attached probes before storage.
