Setup and Installation

  2. Install Mounting Bracket: Attach the mounting bracket to the electrical outlet box using the screws provided. Ensure it is firmly secured.
  3. Assemble Downrod: Insert the downrod through the canopy and connect it to the fan motor assembly. Secure with the provided pin and screw.
  4. Hang the Fan: Carefully lift the fan assembly and hang it on the mounting bracket using the ball joint.
  5. Wire the Fan: Connect the fan's electrical wires to the household wiring according to local electrical codes. Typically, this involves connecting the black (hot) wire, white (neutral) wire, and green/bare copper (ground) wire. Use the provided wire nuts.

Operating Instructions

Your Quorum International Estate ceiling fan can be operated using the pull chain or the included remote control.

Pull Chain Operation:

  • Pull the chain once for HIGH speed.
  • Pull the chain twice for MEDIUM speed.
  • Pull the chain three times for LOW speed.
  • Pull the chain four times to turn the fan OFF.

Remote Control Operation:

Refer to the separate instructions provided with your remote control for detailed button functions. Typically, the remote allows for:

  • Fan ON/OFF control.
  • Speed adjustment (3 levels).
  • Light ON/OFF and dimming (if light kit is installed).

Reversible Airflow Feature:

Your fan includes a reversible airflow feature for year-round comfort. A switch located on the fan motor housing (often near the downrod) controls the direction of blade rotation.

  • Summer Mode (Counter-clockwise rotation): Pushes air downward, creating a cooling breeze.
  • Winter Mode (Clockwise rotation): Draws air upward, circulating warm air trapped near the ceiling.

To change the direction, ensure the fan is OFF and the blades have stopped completely before flipping the switch.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient operation of your ceiling fan.

  • Cleaning: Periodically clean the fan blades and motor housing with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish.
  • Tighten Fasteners: Check all screws and fasteners on the fan blades, blade holders, and mounting hardware at least twice a year. Tighten any loose connections to prevent wobbling and noise.
  • Blade Balance: If the fan wobbles excessively, ensure all blades are securely attached and that they are balanced. Balancing kits are available if needed.
  • Electrical Connections: Annually inspect electrical connections for any signs of wear or loosening. Ensure power is OFF at the circuit breaker before inspection.

Before attempting any repairs, ensure the power to the fan is turned off at the circuit breaker.
