1. Introduction

The OREI HDMI Splitter (HD-102) is designed to duplicate a single HDMI input signal to two identical HDMI output signals. This device allows you to display the same content on two separate screens simultaneously. It is ideal for situations requiring mirrored displays, such as presentations, home entertainment, or digital signage.

Important Note:

• This device is a duplicator and will mirror your display. It is not designed to extend your desktop across multiple monitors.
• The splitter supports HDCP 1.4 but does not bypass HDCP 2.0 or 2.2.
• This unit does not extract audio.

3. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to set up your OREI HDMI Splitter:

1. Connect the HDMI Source: Plug one end of an HDMI cable (not included) into the HDMI output port of your source device (e.g., computer, game console, Blu-Ray player). Connect the other end of this HDMI cable to the INPUT port on the OREI HDMI Splitter.
2. Connect the Displays: Plug one end of an HDMI cable into the OUTPUT 1 port on the OREI HDMI Splitter and the other end into the HDMI input of your first display (e.g., TV, monitor). Repeat this step for the OUTPUT 2 port and your second display.
3. Power the Splitter: Connect the provided USB power cable to the power input port on the splitter. Plug the other end of the USB cable into a USB power source (e.g., a USB port on your TV, a USB wall adapter, or a computer USB port). The splitter is USB powered, and a power adapter is not included.
4. Power On Devices: Ensure all connected devices (source and displays) are powered on.

For optimal performance, use high-quality HDMI cables that are 30 feet or shorter.

4. Operating Instructions

The OREI HDMI Splitter is a plug-and-play device. Once all connections are made and devices are powered on, the splitter will automatically duplicate the input signal to both connected displays.

• The content displayed on both output screens will be identical to the source.
• No additional software or drivers are required for operation.

6. Maintenance

The OREI HDMI Splitter is designed for durability and requires minimal maintenance. The heavy-duty metal enclosure helps dissipate heat, ensuring stable operation.

• Keep the device in a well-ventilated area to prevent overheating.
• Avoid exposing the unit to extreme temperatures outside the recommended operating range (0°C to 40°C / 32°F to 104°F).
• Clean the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your OREI HDMI Splitter, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

• No Picture on Displays:
  • Ensure all HDMI cables are securely connected to both the source and the displays.
  • Verify that the USB power cable is connected and the splitter is receiving power.
  • Check if the source device and displays are powered on and set to the correct HDMI input.
  • Try using shorter, high-quality HDMI cables (under 30 feet).
  • Test with a different HDMI source or display to isolate the problem.
• Picture Quality Issues (Flickering, Distortion):
  • Ensure HDMI cables are not damaged and are securely connected.
  • Reduce the length of HDMI cables if they exceed 30 feet.
  • Verify that the resolution and refresh rate of your source device are supported by both the splitter and your displays (up to 4K@30Hz).
• Displays are not Extended (only Mirrored):
  • This device is designed to duplicate (mirror) displays only. It does not support extending your desktop across multiple monitors. This is normal operation for the HD-102.
• HDCP Errors or Blank Screen with Protected Content:
  • The HD-102 supports HDCP 1.4. It will not bypass HDCP 2.0 or 2.2. If your source or display requires HDCP 2.0/2.2, this splitter may not function correctly with that content.
• No Audio:
  • This splitter does not extract audio. Ensure your audio is routed directly from the source or through a separate audio extraction device if needed.
