Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Socobeta Learning Remote Control. This universal remote is designed to simplify control of various devices such as TVs, STBs, DVDs, HiFi systems, and VCRs, featuring large buttons for ease of use.

Setup

1. Battery Installation

The remote control requires two (2) AAA batteries (not included).

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote.
2. Slide the battery cover downwards to open.
3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
4. Slide the battery cover back into place until it clicks securely.

2. Learning Function (Programming)

This remote control is a learning remote, meaning it can copy functions from your original device remote.

Step 1: Enter Learning Mode

• Press and hold the [POWER] button and the [AV] button simultaneously for approximately 3 seconds until the red indicator light stays on.

Step 2: Position Remotes

• Place your original remote control and the Socobeta learning remote head-to-head on a flat surface, with their infrared emitters facing each other, approximately 1-3 cm apart.

Step 3: Select Button to Learn

• On the Socobeta remote, press the button you wish to program (e.g., [POWER], [CH+], [VOL+]). The red indicator light will flash slowly.

Step 4: Transmit Signal

• On your original remote, press and hold the corresponding button (e.g., the original device's Power button). The red indicator light on the Socobeta remote will flash rapidly, then stay solid, indicating successful learning.

Step 5: Repeat for Other Buttons

• Repeat Steps 3 and 4 for all other buttons you wish to program ([CH+], [CH-], [VOL+], [VOL-], [AV]).

Step 6: Exit Learning Mode

• After programming all desired buttons, press the [AV] button on the Socobeta remote to exit learning mode. The red indicator light will turn off.

Important Notes:

• Ensure both remotes have fresh batteries.
• Keep the remotes stable and aligned during the learning process.
• If learning fails, the indicator light may not change or may turn off. Repeat the process.
• Some original remotes may have weaker IR signals, requiring closer proximity or multiple attempts.

Operating Your Remote Control

After successful programming, your Socobeta remote is ready for use.

• Power Button: Turns your device on or off.
• CH+ / CH- Buttons: Changes channels up or down.
• VOL+ / VOL- Buttons: Increases or decreases volume.
• AV Button: Switches between input sources (e.g., TV, AV1, HDMI).

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the remote control with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

Troubleshooting

• Remote not responding:
