DigiTech IPB10

DigiTech IPB10 Guitar Floor Multi-Effects Pedal User Manual

Model: IPB10

1. Introduction

The DigiTech IPB10 is an advanced programmable guitar floor multi-effects pedalboard designed to provide guitarists with extensive control over their sound. It integrates with an Apple iPad (not included) to offer a visual and intuitive interface for creating, editing, and managing a wide array of guitar effects, amplifiers, and cabinets. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting your IPB10 unit.

2. Important Safety Information

  • Power Supply: Use only the specified power adapter. Using an incorrect adapter can damage the unit and void your warranty.
  • Ventilation: Ensure proper ventilation around the unit. Do not block ventilation openings.
  • Water and Moisture: Do not expose the unit to water, rain, or excessive moisture.
  • Servicing: Do not attempt to service the unit yourself. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
  • Placement: Place the unit on a stable, level surface to prevent accidental falls.

3. Package Contents

Please check that your package contains the following items:

  • DigiTech IPB10 Guitar Floor Multi-Effects Pedalboard
  • Power Adapter
  • USB Cable (for firmware updates)
  • Quick Start Guide (not included in this digital manual)

Note: An Apple iPad is required for full functionality and is not included with the IPB10.

4. Setup

4.1 Physical Connections

  1. Connect Guitar: Plug your guitar into the GUITAR INPUT jack on the IPB10.
  2. Connect to Amplifier/Mixer: Connect the OUTPUTS of the IPB10 to your guitar amplifier, mixer, or audio interface. Use appropriate cables (e.g., 1/4-inch instrument cables).
  3. Connect Power: Plug the supplied power adapter into the POWER INPUT on the IPB10, then into a suitable AC outlet.
  4. Insert iPad: Carefully place your compatible iPad into the designated dock on the IPB10. Ensure the 30-pin connector aligns correctly.

Important Note: The IPB10 features a 30-pin connector for iPad integration. Newer iPad models with Lightning connectors will require a 30-pin to Lightning adapter. Due to the physical design of the IPB10's dock, some adapters may not fit properly. An extension cable for the Lightning connector might be necessary for newer iPads. The iPad is primarily used for configuration; the IPB10 can operate independently once programmed.

4.2 Software Installation and Firmware Update

  1. Install iPB-10 App: Download and install the official DigiTech iPB-10 app from the Apple App Store onto your iPad.
  2. Check for Firmware Updates: Connect the IPB10 to your computer using the supplied USB cable. Visit the DigiTech support website to download the latest firmware update utility and instructions for your IPB10. It is crucial to perform firmware updates as recommended for optimal performance and compatibility.
