Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe installation, operation, and maintenance of your WAC Lighting LHT-007L-WT Low Voltage Track Head. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to install your track head:

1. Prepare the Track: Ensure the track system is properly installed and secured to the ceiling or wall. Verify that the power to the track circuit is OFF at the breaker.
2. Insert Bulb: Carefully insert the MR16 halogen bulb into the track head. Do not touch the bulb glass with bare hands.
3. Attach to Track: Align the track head's adapter with the track slot. Push the adapter firmly into the track and rotate the locking tab (if present) to secure it in place. Ensure the head is fully seated and cannot be easily pulled out.
4. Adjust Direction: Once secured, the track head can be swiveled and tilted to direct light as desired.
5. Restore Power: After installation is complete and verified, restore power at the circuit breaker.

Operating Instructions

Once installed and powered, the track head operates as follows:

• Power On/Off: The track head is controlled by the wall switch connected to the track circuit.
• Directional Adjustment: The track head can be manually swiveled 350 degrees horizontally and tilted 90 degrees vertically to aim the light beam.
• Dimming: This track head is dimmable when used with a compatible dimmer switch on the circuit and a dimmable MR16 halogen bulb.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your track head:

• Cleaning: Disconnect power before cleaning. Wipe the exterior of the track head with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Bulb Replacement: Turn off power at the circuit breaker. Allow the bulb to cool completely. Carefully remove the old MR16 bulb and insert a new one, ensuring it is rated for 75W or less. Avoid touching the new bulb with bare hands. Restore power after replacement.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

• Light does not turn on:
  • Check if the circuit breaker is ON.
  • Ensure the wall switch is ON.
  • Verify the bulb is correctly seated and not burnt out. Replace if necessary.
  • Confirm the track head is securely connected to the track.
• Light flickers:
  • Check bulb connection; ensure it is fully inserted.
  • If using a dimmer, ensure it is compatible with halogen low voltage lighting and the bulb.
  • Ensure the track head is making proper contact with the track.
• Track head is loose on track:
  • Turn off power. Re-seat the track head and ensure the locking tab is fully engaged.
