3. Safety Information

4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

1. Unscrew the bottom cap of the engraving pen.

3. Screw the bottom cap back on securely.

4.2 Bit Installation/Replacement

1. Ensure the engraving pen is turned off and batteries are removed for safety.
2. Locate the small anchor set screw near the diamond tip bit.
3. Use the included hex key to loosen the anchor set screw.
4. Carefully remove the existing bit or insert a new 3/32" diamond tip bit.
5. Tighten the anchor set screw firmly to secure the bit. Do not overtighten.

5. Operating Instructions

The engraving pen is designed for intuitive use. Follow these steps for optimal results:

1. Prepare Your Workpiece: Ensure the surface to be engraved is clean and dry. For best results, use a template or lightly sketch your design beforehand.
2. Hold the Pen: Grip the engraving pen like a regular pen, utilizing the ergonomic tri-lobal grip for comfort and control.
3. Activate the Tool: Press and hold the fingertip-controlled on/off switch to start the motor. The diamond tip bit will begin to vibrate.
4. Engrave: Gently touch the diamond tip to the surface of your workpiece. Apply light, consistent pressure. Avoid pressing too hard, as the tool's vibration is sufficient for etching.
5. Practice: If you are new to engraving, practice on a scrap piece of material similar to your final workpiece to get a feel for the tool and achieve desired line depth and consistency.
6. Intermittent Breaks: For prolonged use, take intermittent breaks to allow the tip of the engraver to cool down, which helps maintain bit longevity.
