1. Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your new Liebherr CBP 4013 Comfort BioFresh refrigerator. Your Liebherr CBP 4013 is a freestanding combined refrigerator-freezer with BioFresh technology, designed for optimal food preservation and energy efficiency (A++).

2. Safety Instructions

Always observe the following safety precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, injury, or damage when using your appliance.

• Electrical Safety: Ensure the power supply matches the rating plate. The appliance is supplied without a plug; professional installation is recommended. Do not use extension cords or multiple socket outlets.
• Installation: Place the appliance on a firm, level surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the appliance to prevent overheating. Do not install near heat sources like radiators or direct sunlight.
• Child Safety: This appliance features a child lock. Keep children away from packaging materials. Supervise children to ensure they do not play with the appliance.

3.3 Leveling

Use the adjustable feet at the bottom of the appliance to ensure it stands level. This is crucial for proper door alignment and efficient operation.

3.4 Electrical Connection

As the appliance is supplied without a plug, a qualified electrician should connect it to a properly earthed socket. Ensure the voltage and frequency match the appliance's rating plate.

3.5 Initial Cleaning and First Use

Before first use, clean the interior and accessories with lukewarm water and a mild detergent. After cleaning, wait at least 4 hours before plugging in the appliance to allow the refrigerant to settle. 4.1 Control Panel

4.2 Temperature Setting

Press the Up or Down buttons to set the desired temperature. The display will show the set temperature. Recommended temperatures are +5°C for the refrigerator and -18°C for the freezer.

4.3 BioFresh Compartment

The BioFresh drawers provide optimal storage conditions for fruits, vegetables, meat, and dairy products, keeping them fresh for significantly longer periods. The humidity level in these drawers can be adjusted for different types of food.

4.4 SuperFrost Function

Activate SuperFrost when freezing large quantities of fresh food. This rapidly lowers the freezer temperature to preserve vitamins and nutrients. Activate it 24 hours before placing fresh food in the freezer. The function automatically switches off after a certain period.

4.5 Child Lock

To prevent accidental changes to settings, your appliance is equipped with a child lock. Refer to the full manual for specific instructions on how to activate and deactivate this feature using the control panel.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

5.1 Cleaning the Interior

Regularly clean the interior with lukewarm water and a mild, pH-neutral detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents. Remove shelves and drawers for thorough cleaning. Ensure all parts are dry before replacing them.

5.2 Cleaning the Exterior

Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn marks, use a mild cleaning agent. Do not use stainless steel cleaners on painted surfaces.

5.3 Defrosting

The refrigerator compartment features automatic defrosting. Water from defrosting evaporates automatically. The freezer compartment also has an automatic defrosting system, minimizing the need for manual defrosting.

5.4 Door Seals

Check the door seals regularly for damage or signs of wear. Clean them with clean water to ensure a tight seal, which is crucial for energy efficiency.

6. Troubleshooting
