Key Features:

  • High performance 120-volt 0.75-amp permanent magnet motor.
  • Operates at 3200 orbits per minute for efficient polishing.
  • Flat top design facilitates easy bonnet changes.
  • Versatile application, suitable for cars, countertops, bathrooms, and banisters.
  • Includes a 10-inch applicator bonnet and a 10-inch terry cloth bonnet.

Setup

Unpacking and Inspection:

  1. Carefully remove the waxer/polisher and all accessories from the packaging.
  2. Inspect the unit for any signs of damage that may have occurred during shipping. Do not operate the tool if any damage is observed.
  3. Verify that all included components are present: the 10-inch waxer/polisher unit, one 10-inch applicator bonnet, and one 10-inch terry cloth bonnet.

Attaching Bonnets:

The WEN 10PMR is designed with a flat top for easy bonnet changes. To attach a bonnet:

  1. Ensure the polisher is unplugged from the power source.
  2. Place the desired bonnet (applicator or terry cloth) over the 10-inch orbital pad, ensuring it is centered and securely fitted. The elastic band of the bonnet should hold it firmly in place.
  3. Gently tug on the edges of the bonnet to confirm it is snug and will not slip during operation.

Operating Instructions

General Operation:

  1. Preparation: Ensure the surface to be polished is clean and free of loose dirt or debris.
  2. Application (with applicator bonnet): Apply a small amount of wax or polish directly to the applicator bonnet or the surface. Avoid over-applying.
  3. Power On: Plug the polisher into a standard 120-volt outlet. Hold the polisher firmly with both hands using the dual-handle grips. Locate the power switch (often a yellow button or toggle) and turn the unit ON.
  4. Polishing/Waxing: Place the spinning bonnet flat against the surface. Move the polisher in slow, overlapping circular motions. Apply light, even pressure. Do not press down excessively, as the random orbital action is designed to work effectively with minimal pressure.
  5. Buffing (with terry cloth bonnet): After the wax or polish has dried to a haze (refer to the wax/polish manufacturer's instructions), turn the unit OFF, unplug it, and replace the applicator bonnet with the terry cloth bonnet. Plug the unit back in and buff the surface to a high shine using the same slow, overlapping circular motions.
  6. Power Off: When finished, turn the unit OFF and unplug it from the power source.

Tips for Best Results:

  • Work on small sections at a time to ensure even application and removal.
  • Regularly check the condition of your bonnets. Replace them if they become saturated or worn.
  • For optimal safety and performance, always keep the power cord clear of the rotating pad.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Unit:

  • Always unplug the polisher before cleaning.
  • Wipe down the exterior of the unit with a clean, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Ensure no moisture enters the motor housing or electrical components.

Caring for Bonnets:

  • Bonnets can be washed by hand with mild soap and water, or machine washed on a gentle cycle.
  • Allow bonnets to air dry completely before storage or reuse.
  • Replace bonnets when they show signs of wear, tearing, or excessive matting, as this can affect polishing performance.

Storage:

Store the WEN 10PMR Waxer/Polisher in a clean, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keep it out of reach of children.
