Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your Nespresso Pixie C60-US-TI-NE Espresso Maker. Please read these instructions carefully before first use and keep them for future reference.
The Nespresso Pixie Espresso Maker is designed for single-serve espresso and lungo preparation, featuring rapid heating and user-friendly controls. It heats up in approximately 25-30 seconds, ensuring quick coffee preparation.
Key features include programmable buttons for espresso and lungo, a folding drip tray to accommodate various cup sizes, backlight indicators, water level detection, automatic power-off for energy saving, and an integrated used capsule container.
Safety Information
- Always ensure the machine is placed on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface.
- Do not immerse the machine, power cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
- Unplug the machine from the power outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
- Do not operate the machine with a damaged cord or plug. Contact customer support for repairs.
- Use only Nespresso OriginalLine capsules with this machine.
- Never open the capsule lever during brewing.

Setup
- Unpack the Machine: Remove all packaging materials and place the machine on a clean, stable surface.
- Rinse the Water Tank: Remove the water tank from the back of the machine. Wash it with fresh drinking water and reattach it securely.
- Fill the Water Tank: Fill the water tank with fresh drinking water up to the maximum level indicated.

- Plug In: Connect the power cord to a grounded electrical outlet.
- First Use Rinse: Place a container under the coffee outlet. Press either the Espresso or Lungo button to start the rinsing cycle. Repeat this process 2-3 times to clean the internal system.
Operating Instructions
- Turn On: Press either the Espresso or Lungo button to turn on the machine. The buttons will flash while heating up (approx. 25-30 seconds) and glow steadily when ready.
- Insert Capsule: Lift the metal lever to open the capsule slot. Insert a Nespresso OriginalLine capsule. Close the lever firmly.

- Place Cup: Place your desired cup under the coffee outlet. For larger cups, the drip tray can be folded up.
- Brew Coffee: Press the Espresso button for a short shot or the Lungo button for a longer shot. The machine will automatically stop when the programmed volume is reached.

- Eject Capsule: After brewing, lift the lever to automatically eject the used capsule into the internal container.
- Power Off: The machine will automatically turn off after 9 minutes of inactivity to save energy. To manually turn off, press and hold both coffee buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds.
Maintenance
- Daily Cleaning: Empty and rinse the drip tray and used capsule container daily. Wipe the machine exterior with a damp cloth.
- Water Tank Cleaning: Regularly clean the water tank with mild detergent and rinse thoroughly.
- Descaling: Descale the machine every 3-6 months, or as indicated by the machine's lights, using a Nespresso descaling kit. Follow the instructions provided with the descaling kit.

Troubleshooting
Refer to the table below for common issues and their solutions:

- No light: Machine switched off automatically; press ON/OFF button. Check mains plug, voltage, fuse.
- No coffee, no water: Check the water tank; if empty, fill with potable water. Descale if necessary. Lift the lever. Press one coffee button and wait until water comes out.
- Coffee is not hot enough: Preheat cup. Descale the machine if necessary.
- The lever cannot be closed completely: Empty the capsule container. Check that there is not a capsule blocked inside the machine.
- Leakage or unusual coffee flow: Check that the water tank is in position. Do not over extract more than 40ml for espresso capsules and 110ml for lungo capsules.
- Lights flash irregularly: Call the Nespresso Club. Exit descaling procedure (see paragraph on descaling).
- No coffee, water just comes out (despite inserted capsule): In case of difficulties, call the Nespresso Club.
- Machine switches itself off: To save energy, the machine will turn itself off after 9 minutes of inactivity. See paragraph on "Energy saving concept".
- Front light is red: Water tank is empty or needs to be cleaned.
